How to be a Spy!

Hey, guys, gals, and non binary pals! I am so sorry I didn’t post anything yesterday, I was super busy and besides, I had no ideas. πŸ™ But at least I’m posting now! As you can see, assuming you’ve read the title, I will be telling you how to be a spy. I have always shown an interest in spies, and I’ve always wanted to be one. So, this is dedicated to the people who’ve have the same dream as I do! So, let’s begin!

Okay, you’ve probably seen at least one spy movie somewhere, somehow. But a real spy is actually pretty different than the spies on TV, such as Nancy Drew or Bond,Β JamesΒ Bond. (lol)

Real spies don’t need all of those fancy gadgets, like cars that can eject the person sitting in the passenger seat, or knife shoes (if you really want knife shoes, go buy some ice skates. They’ll work. πŸ˜‰ ), etc. They don’t always have access to that gear. Instead, they make their own easy, simple, and handy gadgets. One gadget you can make at home is a scarf-map. Just get a plain scarf, and draw a map (or, if you can, print) on one side in sharpie. But, of course, get parent permission first. We wouldn’t want you drawing on a priceless scarf your parents happen to have lying around, would we?

Another is a very handy tool you could have seen if you have watched Nancy Drew. It’s actually very simple. I just made one a few minutes ago. All you need is: a pencil, a small piece of paper, strong string (or twine), glue, and a paperclip. First, you wrap the small piece of paper around the pencil until it’s nice and tight, but you can still pull it off of the pencil. Then, you glue the end of the paper to itself. (Sorry if I am terrible at explaining!) You should end up with a sort of cylinder with no top or bottom. Then, you tie the string in a knot around the paper, which should still be on the pencil. Then you should have a string tied to the paper, which is on the pencil. Now tie the loose end of the string to the paperclip, and bend open the paperclip. There you have it! Now just use your handy hook to grab things from below when you’re up high! πŸ˜€

Now that we’ve gotten past the gadgets, here are some ways to be a spy:

  • Make a spy kit, of course! I will tell you how at the end of this post, so read on!
  • Become a master of disguise! (Practice changing your look so you look like a different person! Tip: Change the obvious first. Your hair – but don’t dye it! Try a wig – and your clothes)
  • Practice using tweezers, you never know when you’ll need to use that skill!
  • Maybe make a spy team, but don’t if you work better alone
  • Set yourself missions
  • Complete those missions!
  • Now have fun!

Now, below, I will tell you how to make a spy kit:

  1. Get a bag that you can easily carry
  2. Gather up your gadgets
  3. Grab a notebook and some sunglasses, too!
  4. Put your things in the bag
  5. Add in anything else you think will be handy!

Then, you’re done! Well, I hope that helped! I’m sorry if you don’t understand my directions for making the handy hook-thing…….evenΒ I don’t understand them completely! G’night, or morning, or evening, depends, I guess. Luv ya’ll!

(PS: Also, try to blend in with your surroundings! If you’re in a crowded park, dress normal, if you’re sneaking around at night, wear black! Try not to stand out much!)
